Rector Search

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church is seeking a new rector.  Our rector is retiring. We are a welcoming and active congregation in the village of Orchard Park, located in the scenic hills of western New York—home to the Buffalo Bills and just 20 minutes from Buffalo.

Our church family is grounded in worship, service, and fellowship. We’re looking for a full-time rector who will:

  • Preach inspiring and relatable sermons with emphasis on everyday life
  • Collaborate with and support all parish ministries
  • Embrace Episcopal tradition while fostering growth and inclusivity
  • Attract and engage youth and families
  • Lead with compassion, wisdom, and vision across all generations
  • Be knowledgeable of modern business and communication systems

Our new rector will be a compassionate listener, a thoughtful administrator who will build bridges with the wider community, and a faithful partner as we move forward together in Christ’s love.

Orchard Park offers beauty in every season, excellent schools, a strong sense of community, and abundant opportunities for recreation, culture, and connection. It’s a wonderful place to live, grow, and serve.

If you feel called to be part of what God is doing at St. Mark’s, please indicate your interest to Rev. Cathy Dempesy-Sims – Canon for Operations, Pastoral Care, and Congregational Support for the Episcopal Diocese of Western New York – at 716-881-0660 extension 114 or cdsims@episcopalwny.org
